The procession float with images of the prophet Elias and the Pietà from the 18th century, author unknown. The Pietà is one of the most popular Passion iconography subjects, encountered in churches since well into the Middle Ages. A Mother mourning the death of her beloved Son evokes compassion, encourages piety and provokes contemplation of the significance of his death. The prophet Elias, accompanied by Elisha, is displayed on the other side of the procession float. The paintings display features which are attributed to te folk style.
