The paining on the sliding panel of the high altar at the church in Krempachy depicts Our Lady of the Rosary giving rosaries to Dominican saints: St. Catherine of Siena and St. Dominic. The prayer was popularised by a Dominican, Alanus de Rupe, who linked its origin to St. Dominic. The first Brotherhood of the Holy Rosary was established in 1475 by Jakub Sprenger, the prior of the Dominican monastery in Cologne. The painting was created by an unknown artist in the 19th century.
