A painting depicting the Virgin Mary handing a rosary to St. Dominic, and St. Catherine of Siena (kneeling in front of him) was created in the 19th century. Mary has her foot on the crescent and has uncovered fair hair, which refers to the image of the Immaculate Conception. This depiction has a baroque composition, but is painted in accordance with the 19th century trend of introduction simplified, smoothly represented forms.
