Abstract
A gallery is mentioned in the records of visitation from 1619. The scenes from the life of St. Margaret were painted in 1969. In 1836 the gallery was refurbished, and it was probably then that the scene with St. Michael the Archangel was painted. The series of paintings form the gallery balustrade was to display scenes from the life of the patroness of the church in Racibowice, the image of St. Michael the Archangel is unrelated to its theme.
