High altar in the Church of Michael the Archangel in Mszana Dolna was built probably not long after the new temple came into being in 1888-1901. The work was made in Neo-Gothic style and has forms typical of this era: a predominance of vertical elements and a soaring body, as well as a number of decorations taken from Gothic era: pointed arches, pinnacles, traceries, blind windows, quatrefoils and others. In the main axis of the altar there is a statue of St. Michael the Archangel, a patron of the church.
