Abstract
The painting depicting Descent from the Cross may be dated at 18th century. The composition of this painting is an example of inspiration by the work of baroque painter Peter Paul Rubens from 1611-1614, but with minor changes, since it directly relates to Lucas Vosterman's engraving from 1620, which is widespread in the art of Europe.
