Crucifix

Abstract

The statue of the Christ Crucified was created in the 19th century. Later on, it was re-mounted to a new cross. Christ was presented in the Cristo morte type, thus as a deceased person, at the moment of his death on the cross. The method of modelling the body strongly emphasizes the physical aspect of his suffering.
