Abstract

A baptismal font in the church in Spytkowice was made in a stonemasonry centre in Dębnik between 1644 and 1663. Its form with a pear-type stem and curled bowl was extremely popular from the 17th to the 19th century. Baptismal fonts of a similar shape have been preserved in several dozen churches throughout Poland.
