Abstract
The painting depicting the Visitation was created for the finial of St. Anne's side altar before 1765. The work depicts the scene of the Visitation of St. Elizabeth to the Virgin Mary, described in the Gospel of St. Luke (Lk 1: 39-45). It was understood as confirmation of incarnation and Mary's motherhood.
