Abstract

The statue depicting Saint Stanislaus was made in the second half of the 18th century for the altar where it is located. It is an example of Rococo sculpture. The figure of the saint was bent in the shape of the letter "S," and the body is wrapped in finely crinkled folds of the underneath robes contrasting with the sharply fractured cope.
