Abstract
The painting was supposedly brought from Rome by a parish priest, Hannibal Orgas, in 1626. The current robe is from 1836. The painting of Our Lady of the Snows is based on the miraculous icon of Salus Populi Romani, located in the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome.
