Abstract
The painting of Madonna and the Child exhibited in the high altar of the parish church in Inwałd, has been famous for its miraculous image for centuries. The way the figures are shown gives grounds for combining the painting with numerous Marian representations of Cracovian Hodegetria type preserved in the region of Lesser Poland.
