Abstract

The architectural reredos is a work of high artistic value. The most similar reredoses (created by Ludwik Ladislaw) are located in the Church of Canons Regular of the Lateran in Mstów and in the St. Anne's Church near Przyrów. This wood carver from Opava, starting his career at the Missionary Church on Skałka and as the author of sculptural part for the high altar in the Collegiate Church in Sandomierz, might have been the creator of the altar in Morawica. It is unknown whether he was its designer.
