The root crucifix at the parish church in Poręba Wielka was most probably made in the first half of the 17th century. Its relatively dynamic form and expressive modelling are a manifestation of the influence of late Gothic art, while the shape of the perizoma indicates the influence of new trends in art of the 17th century.
