The crucifix was created in the 20th century and has the characteristics of provincial art. Unfortunately, archival sources do not reveal the author of the sculpture. Christ Crucified, in the church in Łękawica, was depicted in the so called type of Cristo morte, which illustartes the deceased on the cross with the inertly lowered head and closed eyes.
