Abstract

At the sliding panel of the high altar at the parish church in Kęty there is a painting depicting the patronesses of the temple - St. Catherine of Alexandria and Margaret of Antioch. The iconographic type of the composition, which was created most likely in the third quarter of the 16th century, presents the Sacra Conversatione theme. The representations of the Holy Conversations, shaped in the Middle Ages, often appeared in modern art.
