Abstract

In previous studies on furnishing of the church in Nowy Targ, no attempt was made to indicate even a circle of potential authors of the sculptures of the prophets: Moses and Elijah from the reredos of the Transfiguration. The statues were created in the first quarter of the 18th century and are ideologically closely related to the altar title.
